About Us
We opened the doors of our humanitarian center for the first time for Ukrainians affected by the war on the 1st of March,2022. Within a month, the volunteers went with humanitarian aid to Chernihiv, Bucha, Borodyanka... And before that, dozens of evacuated families from Kharkiv, Mariupol, and other cities were transported to a relatively safe place - Lviv. This is where the story of the Help and Hope fund began.
At first, the support was chaotic and kept up by the enthusiasm of a few people. In just a few weeks, the team was strengthened with a dozen volunteers, new areas of assistance appeared, and the number of people who came to the center every day increased tenfold. This is how a full-fledged humanitarian center was established in Cherkasy, which in three months of war successfully managed:
- to help about 10 thousand children and adults who were forced to leave their homes due to the war;
- to receive about 100 tons of humanitarian cargo from partners in Ukraine and abroad. Among all: food, medicine, utensils, linen, etc.;
- make 7 trips to the occupied territories to bring water, food, and personal hygiene products for those who could not leave their homes, sometimes half-destroyed homes.
But that's not enough! After all, the request for help comes from millions of Ukrainians from different parts of our country. Help and Hope fund is our opportunity to lend a helping hand to anyone who asks for it.
We are planning:
- to make more frequent trips with humanitarian cargo for people to the occupied territories. There are no delivery services or shops, and in some cases, no light, electricity, or centralized water supply;
- to meet the needs of migrants who are in Cherkasy and the region;
- to arrange the supply of parcels with essentials for residents of other regions who ask us for support.
Our work today is about HELPING Ukrainians who have become victims of war and providing HOPE for everyone who believes in our steadfastness.
The fund has transparent financial reporting. We regularly publish reports on the activities of the Help and Hope Fund on our social networks.
VALUES AND MISSION
The mission of the Help and Hope Fund is to find partners, both in Ukraine and abroad, to provide people with humanitarian aid. These include products, baby food, diapers, clothes, dishes, bed linen, blankets, mattresses, cribs, and playpens, medicines, etc.
Our volunteers are engaged in both procurement and engagement of partners to supply the necessary items. And all in order to be able to support dozens, and even hundreds of people who go to the Fund for humanitarian aid every day.
